    Shelters for bike?

Just wanting some advice on what is best for sheltering a motorbike, I only have a single carport and its not practicle to install a double garage because theres no room. I tried looking for a portable motorbike garage but no luck. I may have to look at a garden shed with wooden flooring but the trouble is the doors are too narrow, and the ones with the correct size doors are the bigger sheds which sizes I dont need. If anyone else has any other ideas im all ears or if you know of anyone who builds motorbike shelters at reasonable rates in the Waikato area would be great.
    Cheers

Years ago I got a shed from Smiths City and they ordered it with the door on the short side of the shed. I don't think it cost any extra either.
    I used paving stones inside.

If you use paving stones, or anything, put polythene down first. When I was young & stupid I stored my collection in a panelled up gravel floored carport garage conversion. I may as well have just left them on the beach.

This would be my vote along with bobs suggestion about the polythene.
The wooden floor is easier to keep dry because it adds height / underfloor ventilation but unless you use house grade joists and flooring it will be wobbly on the side stand.
A couple of sheets of ply appropriately attached to the end of your car port is another option for a lockup that leaves the carport free for the wife's car. Depends a lot on the layout.

I was given a good idea for a greenhouse t'other day which could easily be called a shed. Re cycled ranch sliders. Just need a frame to mount them to and some flooring. You can get real cheap ones when the anodising has gone powdery.
    Just a thought....

How big is your carport? Just close in the sides and slam a door on. You can pick up secondhand garage doors off tardme for half nothing if you're on a budget, or the local trades auction house. Even open at one end is pretty sheltered depending on its position on your property.

I have a Duratuf shed on a concrete slab for my bike/man cave. It is one of the bigger ones and has double sliding doors. Loads of room for the bike with panniers on to come and go. They do offer options with the doors at the gable end.
We have room for a garage but the sloping section means we didnt have the $$. This worked out an affordable and practical solution.

If it's left open at one end rather than a door you will still be able to tuck at least half the wagon under, or/and put an awning on that end to cover the rest, otherwise a decent shed as above is probably your best option.

I'd probably bin your lawnmower one and replace it with one of a better size that can fit bike + mower and equip.

If you have less than 5 kids, sell the "given up on life wagon".

    Problem solved.

Also pellets, nails, tarps and selleys.
    Build what ever you want.
