    Cool Kids think we're cool

How many of you have been riding around maybe in town, on the motorway or in the country and have little kids wave at you??

I feel great when the little buggers wave and smile. It's as though the chaps know how happy we are to be on two wheels; it's so similar to the kind of the big grin and wave you get when passing riders out in the country on weekends

It's as if when we are young and innocent we instinctively know what is great.

Especially in the morning it's quite nice to see a sincere smile and wave during the crazy rush hour frenzy as we get to work busy thinking about our epic problems.

I always give a smile and a wave to anyone who does so to me. Be they kids, adults, a bunch of very hot chicks all trying desperately to get my attention. (shame they were all just too young) Makes them feel good and certainly makes yourself feel alot better. Even if I'm having a really crap day it just takes on person to smile and wave like that and all is right again.

Had a little dude in Foodtown the other day while I was loading up with gorceries...barely in to his second year, being pulled by his Mum on a trike thingy...stared at me for about 10 seconds until it was too far for his neck to turn...Mum didn't look too happy at his total affixation with my bike...so I refrained from twisiting the throttle

Cute little fulla but...and a certain future biker

I always wave at anyone who stares....had to stop at a pedestrian crossing today for a young mum with three wee nesties and they all stared at me. Gave them a wave and they all smiled and carried on, as did I, with a contented warm fuzzy feeling. The joys of motorcycling.

Kids think my bike is soooo cool - I guess it's all the black and the cool sounding exhaust. They rave about it in modern cool lingo stuff that I haven't a hope of understanding, but their expressions make me go all warm and fuzzy towards my bike.

    Kids think....

....I'm FUCKEN cool. How little they know.

Ususally coz I'm wheelying past the family Chariot, on the tank, grinning through the visor, giving "mum" the "shocker" symbol.

    Fuck I'm bad.

I get that too and it just enforces the fact that fuck we are cool.

Usually get a bit of this on the way to work in the morning... I tend to just wave, then give it a bit of throttle and take off...

I used to really like bikes and bikers before I even got one, so if only 1 in 10 of the people we interact with get bikes, then we'll be better off for it.

It always brings a smile to my face when a kid gives you a wave. You wouldn't get a kid waving and smiling at a pimped out WRX.

Coming from a 'kid', that's pretty much the most awesome thing you could do.

However, there's this guy down the street on a completely black RGV250 who wears black leathers and a black helmet with black visor, ghost rider styles.

    He's my idol.

You reckon I'd look cool with leathers and a helmet done up in Kawasaki Lime Green?
