    He's my idol.
I thaught I was your idol... rgv's are for wannabes who cant afford another 2 strokes added to the engine and another 2 cylinders to make a true real cooler engine etc.

Yeah it is pretty cool when kids wave or stare etc.. I usually wave back and sometimes give it a little twist or lanesplit ahead... just to give the best impression possible of bikers
I find the islander kids through glen innes where I ride every day just stare... never wave. Little white kids do usually though. Dunno why.

Warm fuzzies from Kids? Try old ladies !

I've had dear little white-haired old ladies come over and talk to me kerbside....
Some of them are really neat to talk to - they have quite salty stories to tell about "a boyfriend I once had..... he rode a bike....." "dreamy expression"

and I tell you guys and gals,

We think we are so modern and so cool and so baaad,

    but

you wanna hear the stories some of our Grandparents generation tell

Maybe they tell complete strangers ...... cos it's safe ?.......... lol
Everything is always okay in the end.
If it's not, then it's not The End.

one of the best things about biking i feel is not just the viewers, but the other bikers on the road. just about every time i pass a motorbiker going the other way, waves and gestures are always exchanged, yould never get that from a cage

Did you wave back? You wouldn't want them to complain.
We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. The whole department is fucked. It's the biggest cock-up ever. We're all completely fucked.

Only glanced at you as I was looking for road names trying to find out where my turn off was. You looked really slim so didn't think you had any bike gear on your upper body. Just the vest. Also it seemed as though you had some of your gear "un packed" on the grass.

    Keep up the good work

yeah, Martin (BC) is a great guy, came to the Papatoetoe Wheels Day, highlight was when one little kid asks if BC knows his brother... BC replies: "Why, should I?"

Back to waving to kids, I first fell in love with bikes being the kid in the window, except I don't think I waved, sorta scared of them, and too busy drooling and taking in everything about the bike.

Now I'm the biker, except that I have to remember that with a full breath guard and sunnies, smiling or winking does absolutely nothing. Best is when one kid in a car is staring and you give a little wave. Suddenly all the kids swarm to the windows looking at you...

    very fuzzy wuzzy...
