    Hyosung gt250r exhaust mods?

So I recently started looking into an exhaust for my gt250r but I really don't want to drop $300-$500 for an exhaust. Do i have to do anymore work to the bike after installing an exhaust if i do end up getting one? I also heard people drilling holes into their stock exhaust to make it sound louder. Does that actually work? Did it cause any trouble to the bike? Can someone give me feedback. I'm mainly looking for sound for my bike. Thanks in advance.

You can get away without retuning your bike if you change the slipon. As you say, it's not worth spending a lot of money.
You can buy fake yoshis and similiar for $100-200 which work well, and you can always put your stock muffler back on.

I have a screaming demon with the baffles removed, I found it runs a lot better since I moved the c-clip on the needles in the carbs.
