    Bailey Motorcycles in Hawera?

I may be buying a bike from these guys. But I know nothing about them as I live down south. I do know they are a Yamaha and gas gas dealer.
I have bought bikes before from dealers without physically seeing the bike in the flesh. Has anyone had anything to do with them? And what are you comments. Cowboys or good buggers and trustworthy!?
    Cheers

You make a good point. Do not want to put you out, but if you were cruising thru Hawera and had a spare 5 minutes check out the 2010 super tenere for me. That would be great.
I have bought 2 bikes from well known bike shops in Wellington and one in Auckland. Just had never heard of Bailey motorcycles before. But hay what do I know. I live way down south.
    Hay thanks.

Hay cheers. Awesome. They say it's in mint condition. From the photos it looks real tidy. Except for maybe a bit of rust on bolts on brake disks.

Bought a bike off Bailey motorcycles earlier this year. I was on a trip away from Auckland to Wellington and stopped in Hawera to pick up a part there for a mate on the way back. They were the only people in the country who had the part and it was dirt cheap, he even knocked money off it for my mate for some reason over the phone. The part was in mint condition too when I got there, they had got it ready for me and everything.

While I was about to walk out I asked out of curiosity if they had any cheap bikes for sale. Turned out they had a KLR250 for sale and it was dirt cheap and road legal! He even agreed to knock a bit more off the bike. I agreed to buy it later that afternoon on the phone on the way back to Auckland.
The guy who owns the shop said I could leave the bike there as long as I wanted until I could organise shipping or he could try hustle something for me.
2 weeks later I get a call that a guy from Auckland is coming down to his shop to buy a bike and he's had a chat with him and the guy is happy to bring my bike back to Auckland for $100. Ended up at my doorstep a few days later. The shop owner even kind enough to just ride the bike around for a bit to charge the battery and empty the carby of fuel for the trip up here the dude who dropped the bike off said.
He organised all the paperwork, sale documents etc all over the phone and email. Was even honest enough to include 2 off road tyres that he said were meant to be included in the sale but I had no idea of.
Absolutely hassle free, kept in touch with me regularly after the purchase and when the bike was about to be picked up then on the way here etc and was just an all round good dude. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to buy a bike off them again. They aren't even badly priced!
I think the dude's name was Craig Bailey?
Also if the guy who delivered the KLR is on kiwibiker and remembers this, thanks heaps again for your help!!

they looked after me as a walk in customer looking for some four wheeler rims, we got two sorted them and when one looked a little tired, no effort to dig deep and find another, great team

    For what its worth.....
    Baileys have a solid reputation,
super tenere is indeed in mint condition, but not detailed by owner or shop.
Spokes are alloy of sorts and are mildly oxidised.
headers and front disc fixings would clean up easily.
Every imaginable extra is fitted and whole package is unmarked.
owner is apparently also selling b king in barely used condition in other shop....

    Can't be a poor chap.....

Craig Bailey has been around for a long time and runs a top operation, he has been a bike wrecker for a long time and a yamaha dealer for a while now too, top bloke, and great to deal with,
