so picked up my bike today and went for a dawdle. one stall at the lights, and one quick "shit" moment - that was just me being scared to lean.
Didnt cover much distance, but im pretty stiff here and there. and no not THERE. although, looking at the bike...

never mind. so just rambling about the ride, its obvious I have a LOT to learn. One day I'd be good enough to go on some rides. :spudbooge

Get some basic riding skills going, ie braking safely, cornering etc. then look for newbie rides.

Slow pace, and I'm sure somebody be happy to follow you and offer tips, or you follow them to learn some things...

The addiction is taking hold riiiight aboooout NOW.

well, its monday, and Im finally sitting down at a computer. I did about 300kms over the weekend, did a little motorway work, ran out of gas, stalled at lights, and went to surf - accompanied by a car. Been leaning that little bit further through the corners, have to really concentrate so my brain knows im leaning, otherwise the bike leans, but im trying to stay upright!

Im sore all over from riding, hunting from the back of a hilux doing doughnuts, and surfing. yet im still hankering for the fix

edit: i got about 150kms out of the tank, is my bike thirsty, or is it normal for these RGs? I think the tanks about 10L

Anyone volunteer to take me round west aucks? I'd like to see how to take proper lines etc. having real trouble adjusting from a car, especially with all the loose crap on the left hand side of the road. are there any "meeting" things for people like me?

Remember the front brake is your most powerful so dont just put your foot on the foot brake like you would it a car if you really need to stop!

Rgs rock they are fun between 9-12rpm Mine chews the gas tooo. I think mine uses about the same as yours.

Make sure you use ok 2 stroke oil, that way its less likely to seeze. down/clogg up the exhaust. :spudguita
