That first example was another one I had seen, I also get amused with the auctions on 'LAMS' bikes that then have a list of power increasing modifications half a page long... I really do wish that there was a better system for managing learner legal bikes. It just feels so restrictive... Oh well, just have to get into the CBTA stuff

It's no different to those folk misrepresenting mopeds as power assisted pedal cycles. They claim they can be ridden without a licence, so disqualified folk hook onto them.

No different to people on car licences riding scooters at 80 kmh and claiming the licence exemption coz it's a moped.

Private sellers can pretty much make whatever claims they want. Bugger all accountability.

People get licences to avoid potential adverse outcomes.

Funny. We are getting quite a few older dudes who have been riding for years who are now getting their Class 6. The reason a few give us that they want to do the right thing in the face of getting their kids to stop nagging them.

People get licences for a variety of reasons Azkill.

Makes sense. Oh well, guess you cant trust everyone you meet on the internet (who knew?). Pity too, looked like a nice bike. I guess ill be revving out the 250 for a little longer then. It will be interesting to see if I get a reply from the NZTA about it thought.

Also, FJrider, thats largely the attitude I had towards it, however I thought that it might have been a gpx250/EX250f thing, different countries seem to get different model names and imports throw things off and stuff...

That 400 does look pretty nice, I guess thats my next bike to look into haha.
