I wouldn't pay more than a grand for a gn that modified.

You say you are new to this, the person who made these changes probably was too because that's who rides gns.
It is also unlikely that a learner with a gn budget could afford a pro to do the work.

If you still want it get an inspection and see how much you really want to spend.

To OP, if it's gonna be your first bike, think of it as just something to get you to your full licence. Even a modded GN will bore you to tears in a matter of months...or maybe that was just me? Yep, I had one as a first bike. But if you're gonna grab one, get one that's stock or near stock.
