    Dodgy Trade Me listing?

    as far as i know all 2002s were 636, i have txt'ed and asked for plate number to check if it is legit but he wont send it, also i think his weight might be off, 2003> dry weight of 161 kg pre 2003 was quite a lot more.
    any info guys?

    i think early 2002 were 599, Late 02 were 636 but could be mistaken

    You are correct ... in the LATE 2002 they did a 636 model.

    Perhaps the OP should install a GOOGLE search engine.

    All of the 03-06 ZX6R's were 636cc (the ZX6RR's were 599cc). Some of the 02's were 636cc.
    Dry weight according to google is 175kg

    thanks for the info guys(and yes i did google, maby just not upto par on my searching skills) what made me suspicious was when the guy woulnt send me the plate number.

    If there is a number best to ring, I've sold a few bikes in the last year and the ones who ring are serious the rest less so.

    I only sell using classifieds for the same reason, the amount of idiots on Trade Me is up there with KB
    DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

    if youre interested go and look at it or get a mate to if it isnt nearby.

    when Im buying a vehicle, I dont take any of the sellers talk as gospel, I do my own due diligence before handing over any money.
