GB400TT left over winter won't turn over

Hey guys I left my GB400 sitting in the garage over winter for 3 months while I went to Finland for a holiday over their summer, just got back yesterday and tried to turn the bike over today. Battery still has charge in it and the starter kicks over but it doesnt fire, tried it for a couple of minutes including kick starts but gave up because I didnt want to flood the carbs.

I dont have any experience mechanically and was just wondering if anyone had any idea as to what I should do, dont really want to take it into shop unless its really needed.

Before I left the bike was running very clean and had just had a solid service/repair from motorhaus

Drain the petrol and start with some fresh juice. Charge the battery fully. Spray a bit of start ya bastard in to the intake.

The bulk of the output from the battery will be used turning the the motor over, leaving little or nothing for the ignition. Get your battery charged.
