    leeway? or not...

Looking at a cbr600 today. It has been sitting in the guys garage for a year. no registration and he tells me hes got until the 29th to get the sticker or it becomes deregistered. I've just done a VIR and the bikes rego actually expired yesterday. A genuine misunderstanding of the dates on his part.

Does this mean that the-powers-that-be will demand it be re-registered (around $400 init?) or is there any chance they'll give the guy a break and let him off a couple of days?

    Just wondering....

Sorry to say mate that once the computer ticks over you have to pay to have it re-rego'ed. Was the rego on hold?
