Hey mate,
Im 116kgs
Just my 2 cents here but I decided recently decided to get into this dirt thing after 25 years of road and farm 4 wheeler riding and 6 years of post classic racing.
A mate I raced against on track bought a crf230 ( hes about 80kgs ) and was out riding the power in three weeks so got a 450 and loves it.
I was going to get a 250 and he said go for a 450 as it might take a wee while to get used to it but will be better in the long run.
I got a 2004 wr450 and loved it with 175 hours on the clock but the gearbox shit itself after about 10 hours riding.
My wife said because I was enjoying it so much i should spend the money and get a new klx for 9g.
I thought it was a lot of money but at least I know what I got and can maintain it my self and I couldn't be happier.
It has good power can wheelie in 1st and 2nd no worries even for a shit rider like me.
I just went on my first trail ride on the weekend 100kms of farm and forrest and had a ball (bit harder work than road racing though lol).
If you can spring for another couple of g I would consider a klx 450 as the mags say there not a serious enduro bike but a great allrounder.
winding up stucky since ages ago
