    Townley to make GP return

I hope Kiwi Rider Magazine don't mind me sharing their article from there Facebook page.

    Townley to make GP return!
Tauranga’s Ben Townley is to make a return to World Championship Motocross. The Kiwi ace is set to join Stefan Everts' Suzuki motocross team. Although Townley strenuously denied he was planning a GP return during an interview at the final round of the 2015 World Motocross Championships at Glen Helen in the USA, it is understood he started looking at options after scoring 6-2 finishes in the MX1 class at the Motocross of Nations at Ernée in France. This compares with his 1-2 finishes in the MX3 class at the same track in 2005. Back then he was coming off his fourth season of world championship racing. This year he has been serving as a riding advisor/coach for Honda Racing Corporation’s All-Japan Championship team so is not as ‘match fit’ as he was in 2005. Yet he managed to beat many of the established European stars at the same track this past September, which it is understood led Everts to chase him for his signature on a Suzuki factory contract for 2016. See the January issue of Kiwi Rider magazine for an exclusive interview with BT!

Just imagine if he took home the championship. Probably make it onto the news.
