Speeding tickets and 3 at once

My bros and I got speeding tickets last night, all 3 of us, doing 115km/h following traffic in the fast lane on the way to a group ride, and the cop pulled all 3 of us over at once. Wondering if he's allowed to pull over a group and if his speed gun can even prove all 3 riding in close formation were doing the same speed (talking about legal evidence). Anybody had experience with this?

Our 'stick together' policy but in hindsight might of been better if 2 kept going

I remember on one group ride - a couple of guys to the ride were having a 'spirited' ride - and had a lovely chat with Mr Plod - who advised he couldn't get a solid lock on either of them (enough to issue a ticket) but he knew they were riding too quick and so gave them a good talking to.

I would hazard a guess though that if he got a solid lock on one of you - and all 3 were riding at the same speed - he would be able to use the solid lock on one of you and charge you all.

What the fuck were you thinking? You're lucky to still be alive. That cop deserves a beer for saving yours, or someone elses life.

maybe you should be thankful he hasn't charged you for racing under the boy racer act, cos that's what everybody down here gets charged with under those circumstances.
