Harley 500/750: is NZ getting these?

Been looking at the little HD 500/750's on the web here in there. Does anyone know if NZ are getting either of these? Thought the liddle 500 would be a good LAMs bike. Keen to look at, try the 5 hundy if NZ is getting them here.

Reason being, my wife is wanting to get back on her own bike after many years of no bikes and being a pillion for the last four, that interest has been rekindled. She's a biker from way back (that's why I married her, haha) having ridden all sorts over the years, from a wind bag GSX 250, Two smoker RD (or RZ, can't remember which) 250, a heavy ole GS550, funny as fluck Impulse 400 and a flying brick CBR 1000. However, we, er, never quite got around to finishing the paperwork, so is still on the learner's permit.

And before the usual HD bufoonery starts or other bike recommendations, she knows her mind and what type of bike to get into, NOT 'things' like ugly as wee strom's or uncomfortable crotch rockets or half witted lookin er650 (or the Chinese copies) type bikes, but a cruiser. Why? cos it's something that is easier to handle, lower seat height, relaxed riding stance and (hopefully) provides a bit of long distance comfort (as we often do weekends away) and finally a bike that is a little easy on the eye, cos wifey's bike proud. So just keep that in mind if ya wanting to recommend a cruiser type.

And yep, we had a ganda at the Suzie 650 single wanna be cruiser things, er, yeah nah, my wife thought it was simply a regurgitated GN 2 thrifty (an yep she used to ride one of those little 250's too).

From my point of view, I thought at least if HD do the LAMs, it's a good starting point, new so will have a warranty, just punch the 'go' button and ride. When the times comes, it should have better resale than the little jap cruiser types or at least help her get into a bigger HD when the time comes.

    @ Crasherfromwayback, do you know?

    Cheers Ando

Apparently - one of the girls at work was telling me yesterday she was buying one. Had a price too. Can't remember though. Don't appear on the local website though

Wonder why they would put a 15inch rear wheel on it.

have the 750 in the uk

think it will be like the v rod and a poor seller - but pricing is competitive

personally I'd buy a ducati scrambler if I wanted a bike of that capacity
