There would be very few in NZ. The HP series are special models. The Megamoto is quite desirable hence that ones asking price (which was even higher a while ago) but makes it hard to figure out a true value. Amongst the HP2 was Megamoto, Enduro (real expensive on launch and now very sought after) and Sport (seen a couple making mincemeat out of the Bears category at Hampton Downs). Not too sure on the HP3, then HP4 was the S1000RR HP4 (again, limited numbers and sold fast - I know someone that has one).

2010 onwards the modifications made to the boxer motor for HP (effectively increasing performance) made it's way into the rest of the boxer range. Obviously the Megamoto is lighter than the GS, but it's no motard either. Service intervals are like a regular bike, not measured in hours etc.

Engine type parts should be relatively easy, as it's just a boxer. Specific Megamoto bits would be ex Germany most likely, given the very few available.

Weird advertising with only one image of the actual bike.

I always worry about stock photos. It's not as if you are buying a new bike. It's what's not in the photos that matters most.

I remember there was a guy in the Hutt here with one, might have been the HP. Worked at Darbis.

I recall someone saying they felt weird when leaned over with the boxer engine vibrating horizontally.

Cool looking bike though. They had a megamoto racing class when that and the KTM 990SM came out.
