    Group jap buy?

Couldn't post to the sell section without it being an advert (which it isn't)

    are group buys a thing?
Would anyone be keen on partaking in one?

HEAPS of things I need for the honda, most of which are available in the land of the rising sun, wondered if anyone else was in the same boat (being needing parts from Japan)

please re-direct me to the right section if this isn't where this topic belongs ^-^

The 'group buys' often read about on off-shore then to be for a specific item for a specific bike. Like the Hornet 919 forum doing a bulk purchase on rear-sets or a tail tidy.

    Probably limited in NZ.

However a group buy on a specific set of tyres in the same sizes could work

What he said....more for bike specific forums and can be a great way to A buy things cheaper B buy things no longer made for your bike.Bloke on the TL site convinced M4 to do a run of 30 full systems for the TLS...something they hadnt made for years.

Works well on international forums. When I had the Blackbird and was a member of the US-based CBR1100 xx forum, they organised a group buy of high-end Penske shocks through a US suspension specialist. Got the shock custom-built for me for about 2/3 of the normal retail price and that included delivery.

It's worth a try. There was someone here on KB used to organise group buys of Stebel Nautilus horns. My brother in Perth rides a Kawasaki Concours, he and those of his mates who ride the same model, order tyres from the USA on a group buy basis.
