I've run that track - it comes out in the MaiTai valley. Nice track. Was many years ago and don't know it's current status and vehicle access status but it would make a nice ride.

Hi ya Kenny, that is a really great track, halfway through you'll come to Kohuru Creek which has a high population of man eating crocodiles but if you can safely navigate your way through you'll have a cracking ride.

    Safe travels mate

Was through last week on a miserable mostly rainy day, running out of fuel, lost the rear brake, running out of daylight, near on bald tyre, stuck down the bottom of one of the pylon maintenance side tracks, on my last banana bumper bar, and it was absolutely awesome.

Track is in great nick and way better than the Whangamoas this (or any?) time of year =)

We made it. No wire and gate was easy to get around. .... well I did get stuck but thepom got around ok. Talked to the caretaker out running his dogs who said he would be heading back soon and would unlock it if we needed

4wd and quads need permit but bikes fine

Wot the man who can eat without collecting food in natures velcro said

Altimarloch is a private driveway/land (at the bottom) you have you pass through, and you are supposed to get permission or drop in and let them know you are heading up.

I have never actually done that though
