Bandit topbox fitment?

I've have got a fek topbox to fit onto my 2006 gsf 1200 and don't know how to fit it.
Does anybody out there have an idea how I can fit the L brackets to sit the topbox or would have any other ideas or some pictures of a topbox fitted to their bandits.
Help would be greatly appreciated...

You need more than just L-brackets, have you got the top plate that the box mounts onto as well?

I made my set up because I am cheap.


I adapted a rack from a custom that I bought on tardme for $5. Then mounted a top box kit onto that.

Wow, just wow. If you weren't such a big bugger having that weight so far back would hover the front wheel.

I sold my top box to stop me using it. Too convenient. Too much bad effect on handling.

Nothing a conti motion front tyre cant handle. Trail some back brake on the way in and wheelie on the way out you softy.

To be honest the bike feels strong on throttle in the midrange and bottom end its only up the top its lacking some power. Maybe not the type of bike that wants much more power. Its capable of touching pegs down even on touring tyres. Any more fun might involve falling off.

The one that Mossy has and my one have longer rear shocks. That lift in the back really chucks some weight on the front and they turn well for a big bike.

Its more about the location of the bags. Its true the bags do assist wheelies but only if your hard on the throttle in 1st or second.
It is a long bike with a good amount of weight forward and the trip to cold kiwi was on wet roads and the front end even on a old conti motion tyre wasn't a issue.

The thing that surprises me when its parked up with that other bike is the bandit isn't the one with chicken strips.

I have always found when the front is a little vague a little judicious throttle settles it nicely.
Either that or I forgot to apply the rear when braking. But then I'm a big lad and my mass shifts cog forward quite nicely. Irrespective of load.
Downside? On long distance tyres my front wears as fast or faster than the rear.
