    Cool

What about looking at a cruiser....

    Yamaha VIRAGO 250 cruiser.
Nice to ride... and a great commuter.... also good on the open roads.
Go and sit on them in the bike shops... they are real comfy to sit on...

The GN250 is a VERY good bike to learn to ride on. Especially for sensible people. It is reliable, easy to manage, cheap as chips to run, and to fix if you drop it. And the performance is adequate for learning , and keeping out of trouble.

Given the extremely long period that some people have to spend on restricted licenses before they can get a full, you may find you have "outgrown" it before then. But if so , they hold their value so well that you can sell it on for not much less than you paid for it.

Thye are mocked by the sprotsbikers , because they cannot do 300kph nor enable the rider to treat the road as race track. If this annoys you, just invite the sprotsbiker for a ride, head to a gravel road, and laugh as the sprotsbiker falls off, while you tootle off into the distance

Very few GN250s end up crashed at the roadside.
