I spent a lot of time on 30UTD's even had it on the track p/m him if you want more info.

I like the Busa a awesome bike all round heaps a down low and it just keeps climing till ya button off.
It is nothing like a GSXR1000 its in its own leage to answewr ya questions
- power is very liveable (you have to 'try' if you want to do wheelies)
- Duno cant see why not ask SuzyQ she spent a bit of time on the back of it.
- Does tend to, all in the way ya ride I guess, think 30UTD was getting 6k
- as #2

The bike did tend to feel very heavy and have a vibration in the down changes but other than that...... remembering that I beleave 4cyl's belong in cars, I liked it.

mmmm. busa. mmmmmm. different power delivery from the TL (funnily enough), but hey, it's all in the right wrist! nice low c of g to help low speed stability in traffic too.

having just returned from a month in sidders, i reckon a 'busa would be the bomb. sure there's plenty of traffic, but as far as i could see splitting is allowed, the motorways are huge (compared to over here) and the toll roads have cameras only facing onto the front of the vehicle - otherwise it's $3.30. gas was between $1.29 and $1.42, depending on where you buy groceries. there's lots of flash late model 250's over there, hyosungs everywhere, plenty of big traillies - DR650's etc.

if you weren't going to be touring, a superduke would be my pick - similar money, better vision, probably a better commuter.

have you checked out the bike prices on the aussie bikepoint?

I'm over 50 & love long day rides. The busa eats road with no aches for your efforts. 2 up is good & packrack loaded is virtually un noticed. As previosly said Throttle is fun but comes at tyre expence. Between 15-19Km / litre depending on how hard you ride and 5-8K on rears / 8-11k on fronts average. Only downer is it's boring at the speed limit on straight roads. You have to keep an eye on the speedo as it is deceptively quick & you find out quickly as corners come up fast and they take a bit of stopping. Have fun!

I am on my 2nd busa now, no regrets at all.
Power is very easy to deal with,very smooth and predictable, loads of torque so you are not having to change gears all the time.
My wife and i are both tall shes 6ft and is comfy enough on the back, i certainly dont feel cramped on a trip but like most long rides its good to stretch the legs.
Yes it does eat tyres for breakfast, with so much drive available at a twist of the wrist, but having said that the stock bridgestones have lasted 4,000kms now and still have another thou left i reckon. it really depends on how you ride and what compound of tyre you go for.
I bought both mine off Colmans and find they are a great load of bike for for the money.

Mate had one. Awesome power. Once you are in 6th it's like riding an automatic. Power to burn from low down. Very stable bike at speed. He is looking at getting another bike soon. Checked out a Blackbird, but wife preferred the comfort of the 'busa.
