    Spiked "safety" net

    Anyone fancy being the first to try this on two wheels?

    To be fair, if you hit one that's been properly installed you've already ignored some very obvious signage. There's a case for saying that you get what you deserve.

    Also, I'd rather have a rider taken out by one of these than let them plough through a set of road works, possibly taking out several workers in the process.

    From my experience working in Wellytown, we need one for pedestrians too.

    Incorrect actions have consequences, let's have the perpetrator carry the consequence rather than an innocent road user/worker. This net works by my way of thinking.

    Bit like in Europe there's quite a few "sharks teeth" type of devices to slash tyres of cars attempting to enter motorway at an off ramp. You'd generally only make that error once...
