I'd ask the question... not for the hundred bucks... for the 35 demerits.
Then again I didn't take pillion on my learners.

Possibility 1: try to get out of it, and everything's sweet until the next time
Possibility 2: cough up, live with the demerits, go for your full license ASAP, don't complain about any of it to anyone, treat it as a growing experience.
Over to you.
If you challenge the time he put in he has the option to cancel that ticket and issue another with the correct time, and all that would've been achieved is that you have annoyed him and he may keep an eye open for you in future. Best to accept you were caught and let off lighter than you could've been.
That's what I was thinking but not saying I guess. Back in the day I got myself out of a ticket by not admitting I was speeding to the cop who saw me but couldn't follow before I slowed down. Next time he got me for a minor offence which was probably going to be a warning, he recognised me when I took my lid off and it was "Oh it's you ... get in the back of my car". Just saying he let you off a bit of of stuff and if you try and get cute now, he won't be so generous next time ... to you or possibly another biker. Wear the demerits and take the learning.
Grow older but never grow up
Wouldn't know. They don't walk the beat and chat with us common folk like the last lot did and I never get pulled up
He might be a nice enough dude for an officer off the *cough* law, but to me writing a ticket (something he didn't have to do) while saying he is not bothered by what he is writing the ticket for has a bit of comical value and gave me a chuckleLife goes on
