    RD350LC or RZ350 WTB

    G'day guys
I've put up an ad in the classifieds, but thought I'd try my luck here too? I'm wanting to buy either an RD350LC or RZ350, or may consider other similar two strokes of that vintage? Must be road legal, or at least capable of being made road legal, ie not after a track-only bike.
    Please PM me.

    Cheers

There was an extremely tidy RD350LC on Trademe just recently.

Was asking $7000 and it was in Napier.

Needed a repaint and new graphics to get it to concours standard though.

Yes I did see that one but I was out of the country at the time. Cheers.

This RZ would be a good score if he'd let it go for 5k.But not original and he's dreaming with his buy now price.

At a minimum a good Elsie in the same nick would go for his buy now and they're by far more desirable.

Yeah, I saw that one but I'm really after something a bit more original than that, or at least could be converted back to original if the price was right? Cheers for the heads-up though.

I'm waiting to hear back from a mate, he has one. He bought it new in 81 in Queensland.
Its fucked ! all there and original but fucked !
Very rusty and not even a goer (seized I think?).
He's a bit of a hoarder and am betting he won't do anything with it ?
Christ knows what its worth as is ,but as I said its fucked. Did I say its fucked ?

I had my own eye on it but when I got a close look at it , I thought it was too far gone for me.

Got any idea what you'd pay for it? I'll pm ya if I can talk sense into him.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

So what sorta condition is it in? Oh wait, you do mention that it's fucked ;-)
I'm open to any options really. Which model is it? It's imposible for me to give any indication of what such a bike is worth without seeing it. See if you can get some more info and photos and let me know? Could be a beer in it for ya.

    Cheers

I had it in my shed a month ago together with a Mach4 and an old 305 honda, plus about 12 pushbikes !
He was moving house at the time.
Its an LC350 , first regoed in Queensland in 81 (think they're all white with double blue stripes aren't they? It came back to NZ sometime, then the owner buggered off to Europe for about 10 years.
Leaving the bikes at home to rot.
I 'll catch up with the owner this weekend and nail him down.PM ya if its a go and get pics.

Me... I have had many of both, LC's with RZ motors was the order of the day. Standard exhaust with no baffles, made a racket start up at 5:30am every morning. My neighbours loved it.
I have a disease that means I can leave things standard, it must be modified. And the LC is a machine begging to be f#cked with.
But that does not make sense today when the original version is worth much more... still I cant find a cure and that just pisses the wife off. And that makes it all worth while.

My vote is LC... modified of cause. I was even stupid enough to buy a NOS kit for an LC with a 350RZ motor.

Hi Cresco, my mate came round tonight so I tried to nail him down. He has a romantic idea of doing it himself ??? But just enough to ride it some more.In other words just a rough tidy up .
I'm betting that won't happen and will keep working on him. Its sentimental as he bought it new in Queensland and now retired would like to ride it again.
I will drop you a line in time and hope you haven't found an LC ,because I'm sure he won't get around to doing anything with it ?
Sorry if you got the hopes up.
As an example I got him a 37 Chev Coupe in 1974, a bargin at 1500 dollars ! He kept it till about two years ago when it had turned into a bucket of rust sitting outside for 35 years !
Got bugger all for it. Real pity ,that one. Ciao G.

Hey, no sweat. Thanks for trying anyway. If you lived closer I'd still shout you a beer for your efforts! I'll send you a PM.

    Cheers
