Will be my first time participating next weekend. Any tips? Things I should know? How many times have you guys been and why do you guys keep going back?

    Cheers

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

will be there again, never had a problem with no TP but always carry some on bike anyway. i have a sheepskin on the seat of bike which comes off and goes on top of airbed and a good sleeping bag, i only use a small tent as they do warm up quicker and also quicker to take down if the galeforce winds come up like a couple of year ago.
have a good beany with you, if its really cold you may just want to sleep in it, have a dry pair of socks to sleep in, above all just have fun riding there and have a good wander round.
we tend to have a big night on the friday night in naseby and a bit quieter night on sat night at the rally.

hopefully it will snow this year

First time we went, a friend had one of those foil blankets over his sleeping bag. In the morning the bag was saturated, foil blankets don't breathe very well
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

No better place to get in touch with your inner self than at the Brass Monkey rally

On previous experience with the Brass take your pink wooly slippers, sunglasses, kite (as the wind is great), copious quantities of anti freeze (the stuff in the bottle with the black label is best) and of course your sense of humour. On no circumstances decide to eat any pizza laying on the ground ( or any yellow snow), the apples are free if you must eat.

However Do Not take anything ski related, and chances are it will eventually snow Why we go back again and again is to look for snow.

Have a safe ride ( it's Gypsy weekend a lot of cow shit on roads) and enjoy the brass and the company you meet there, always a hoot.

And sleeping bags are designed to wick moisture away from the body so it would be a combination of the two things. Took me ages to figure out why the airbed would get a big wet spot on the top when we went camping.

Take a girlfriend or two. I recommend two and preferably a little on the chubby side. You know, the whole 'warm in the winter, shade in the summer' thing.

    and maybe some condoms
