    Suspension guru in Christchurch?

Erm, not been on here for ages but who would you recommend in ChCh for upgrading the suspension on my sportsbike (road use only)? Looking at discussing/fitting new K-Tech or Ohlins shock on the rear and new front springs :-) Have done this before on previous sportsbikes (but in the UK, not here).

For those that might wonder "why" - I don't weigh very much - well, not as much manufacturers build for - and keeping the bike on the ground/not being thrown out of the seat is always an issue for me on poor surfaces.

    Ta :-)

Try this guy. http://www.custgp.com/road_race.html I haven't used him in a wee while but I suppose he's still there. He's a clever chap with good knowledge.

Could I suggest a phone call to Robert Taylor at KSS. A bit more hassle sending your shock and forks up to him, but suspension is all he does....

Agree with the above had forks done and Nitron rear shock fitted. Handed the bike to him by 9am collected at 2:30pm same day. He fits for weight/usage and is a bloody good bloke! Seriously knows his stuff and the Nitron was half the price of Ohlins.

I did the run from Auckland then tested at a track day in Taupo on the way back... Road trip

Linton at DAS moto. They do a lot of dirt stuff but also road and can deal nitron/ohlins stuff with setup specs supplied from the distributor so tapping into the knowledge from the suspension factory not just their own ideas.

Aftermarket suppliers have recommended specs that can be looked up by partnered shops.

The 675 has a bit of a rep for a hellish linkage but fitting the right spring and a revalve could be a great improvement. On my Street 675 which has similar linkage we went froma 12kg spring to a 9.7 for my 80kg, a huge change. Big improvement.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
