    To Christchurch Africa twin owners

Thought it wouldn't hurt to ask so here goes...

Am wanting to pull the trigger on a new Africa twin but want to test ride one first as Im not comfortable dumping 20k on a new bike without first riding one around the block at least and there are none in cc available to test ride. I've sat on one at least and am relatively tall so can Put both feet flat on the ground.

I'd be very appreciative if someone would let me have a quick ride on theirs. Mature rider, full licence, currently ride a Vstrom .

    Cheers,
    Ben

Coming from a Strom cant see how you wouldn't like the AT.....live a little dangerous, do it do it

Spoiler alert....go ride an XCX800 and a 1050KTM as well, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Yes I'm pretty sure I'll like it too, just want to be sure.

I've looked at the other bikes you mentioned but they don't seem as offroad focused as the AT.

I thought Casbolts had a demo? May have sold it as they were rare after the factory got a shake and delayed production (a boat load heading to the USA sunk or the pallets fell off as well).

Have you checked if Ashburton Honda have a demo one?

Where are you buying from, no demo to take out for a test thrash?

Anyway, you're either a long time or a lot of money down on a new bike, I'd be waiting for the dealer to front up with something brand new to see if it's going to do the job.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

    Ok it's done

Paid a rental company a few bucks for a quick blast on an africa twin and that's all it took to convince me. What a bike..

A Shiney new Africa twin is on it's way to me from the deep South .
