I just got a call from my landlord. Apparently my neighbours do not appreciate both the sound or smell of my bike . . .
I feel a bit stink really, I came home form the Wairarapa yesterday arvo and I had indulged in 5 or 6 beers so I couldn't take the bike for a ride so I decided to clean it instead. Granted I kept drinking while I was cleaning my bike, so by the time I had finished I was quite "jolly". In my state of "jollyness" (new word) I decided that it would be fun to sit in my driveway revving my bike, partly cause I wanted to see if it was still blowing smoke, but mostly cause I love the sound (and smell)!I have to admit I prob sat there for a good 5 mins then rode the bike back into the carport. Yes I know that I was acting like a 16 year old, but I just couldn't help myself!
Anyway back to the problem at hand, my neighbours. I live in a block of 4 flats and apparently all but one tenant rang the landlord and complained. My landlord has given me a warning, but im more worried about living in harmony with my relatively new neighbours.
Im thinking that I may go and have a chat with all of them after work tonite and apologise, but am not sure how they will react as I have never met them.
What happens when you get a warning form your landlord? Is it like three strikes and your out, or what?![]()

I don't think my neighbours like 16 yr olds . . . . or motorbikes

Also sounds like you've got the best idea already. If you haven't already met them, maybe that would help? I wonder if they'd be less likely to complain if they knew you and felt they could approach you comfortably about it? Have you been living there for long? If you've just moved in, would this be a good time to invite them all around for a BBQ???
