Currently I do neither but I feel my hand trying to lift when passing other bikers (my deathgrip wont let it leave the bars though). So I think I'll be a waver ... one day

I always like to wave, especially in situations where there's not many bikes around. But if cornering hard, or there's other difficulties, I at least try to nod.

I'm not one of the "wave when waved to" types - I like to wave to everyone.

I find that bikers are split into four roughly equal groups:
Those that wave first;
Those that wave back;
Those that ignore you;
Those that stare hard at you, as if to say "Why are you waving at me - do I know you?"

umm... when you are going through an intersection, wave at bikers on either side (and I suspect) a car thinks I am letting them in (I wave to cars?? ). Oh and I am doing 65ish, and they are doing 10...

unless very free and nothing can happen I now nod. Dozy cagers never see that unless you repeat several times when letting them through a gap...

Horses for courses for me... sometimes it's a leisurely wave, sometimes a nod, sometimes I completely ignore them (I figure I'll live longer if I concentrate while lane-splitting).

Get some good waves from cops every now and then. Best one was a uniform station wagon on the road to Martinborough as I was hurriedly shaving the speed limit off my speed to bring me down to the speed limit again, he flashed his (head)lights and waved. Nice guy. Unlike that tosser HP another day on another road who thought he'd be friendly by waving his red and blues and brake lights as well... he soon realised that sorta waving doesn't make people wanna hang round for a coffee.

I will wave if it's a clear road in front and I'm going in a straight line. If Im going hard through some twisties I will do the upward nod, you know, the Cher Bro nod.

nodding just doesnt feel right. I wave to all sportsbikes. not scooters or criusers (sorry guys) and do the big ignore thing if I am cornering at speed. If I am just cruising then you can happierly wave while cornering.
