I ride by myself or with a select few mates I trust.
I read Kiwibiker more than I post as sometimes there is some useful and informative information.
I have ridden motorcycles now for 45 years although not everyday. My racing time on motor cycles only spanned 8 years however my actual racing career ( time spent actually trying to be competitive) spanned 30 plus years involved 22 of which were of 4 wheeled variety.
So WHAT really fucks me of is tossers like you that think they know it all and have done the odd track day as you say ( whether you have or not I dont know) and got your knee down .
Its tossers like you that come on here seeking attention that get to me. Like taking 65km corners at 150km plus.
Unless you ride that road regularly and know it well and the capabilities I at best can only call you either a liar , a wanker or someone with a death wish.
Sure it is (reasonably safe) to take posted recommended corners at twice the posted limit but whats around the corner.
There is information on the good old interweb wanktube for you garner knowledge or just pop down to your local bike shop and ask what is the best pairing of tyres for this old shitter that will make me invincible approaching 3 times the posted recommended and then they can have a laugh at you as I do TOSSER.
Go racing and prove your worth as tyres are just small change to you.
Some that may or may not exceed the speed limit or in well in excess of the posted recommended speed do not post up
their exploits or indiscretions for obvious reasons unlike you for the wank factor.
As for my initial quote from you there arre many that are no longer posting on here and some that still do think your a CUNT>
You really havnt changed much and I doubt you will . Just saying
    Summed up nicely Sir!

Seeing as you went to such effort though i'll try clear this up.

( Spelling and grammar) Thanks for clearing that up with the brackets.

I ride by myself or with a select few mates I trust. What do you want a cookie?

I read Kiwibiker more than I post as sometimes there is some useful and informative information. Again would you like a cookie?

I have ridden motorcycles now for 45 years although not everyday. My racing time on motor cycles only spanned 8 years however my actual racing career ( time spent actually trying to be competitive) spanned 30 plus years involved 22 of which were of 4 wheeled variety. Congratulations? a cookie perhaps?

So WHAT really fucks me of is tossers like you that think they know it all and have done the odd track day as you say ( whether you have or not I dont know) and got your knee down . It fucks you off because you've raced so much you must be a better driver/rider than somebody who has raced less? There is a thing called natural talent maybe you have it may you don't? With such an aggro attitude you don't seem like you have enough of a level head to succeed in racing

Its tossers like you that come on here seeking attention that get to me. Like taking 65km corners at 150km plus. Says the person who until this point in the post has done nothing but wank on about themselves? So many cookies are in front of you at this point i may as well call you Santa. It's not mentioned for wank wank factor. It was mentioned so people could ascertain what i required in a tyre for my use of it, why get the wrong tyre that gets me killed because i sat and lied on the internet about how i intend to ride with the tyre?

Unless you ride that road regularly and know it well and the capabilities I at best can only call you either a liar , a wanker or someone with a death wish. Twice a day for 8 years

Sure it is (reasonably safe) to take posted recommended corners at twice the posted limit but whats around the corner. Nothing, it's called a pair of eyes and judgement.

There is information on the good old interweb wanktube for you garner knowledge or just pop down to your local bike shop and ask what is the best pairing of tyres for this old shitter that will make me invincible approaching 3 times the posted recommended and then they can have a laugh at you as I do TOSSER. Well i was actually keen to start a discussion on it where people who ride in new zealand could advise what tyres work for the unique climate and surfaces we have in NZ, oh i'm sure they laugh behind my back, most people do, it doesnt really bother me what anybody thinks of me, i'm merely asking for some input regarding tyre choices. Good work with the upper case tosser thrown on the end it really adds such impact to your statement

Go racing and prove your worth as tyres are just small change to you. I will be

their exploits or indiscretions for obvious reasons unlike you for the wank factor. Oh we're covering this again, not wank wank, being honest about the performance level of the tyre i require

You really havnt changed much and I doubt you will . Just saying I think you've spent so long on race bikes you've forgotton how to look in a mirror.

A young bloke with a diagnosable disorder might attract a sympathetic response and elicit a degree of tolerance. The same behaviour from someone appraoching thirty is just tiresome. Or in this case tyresome?

Have your reacations slowed in your old age or can you still stop from 100kph in two metres?

Yeah, yeah, blame the condition, not the fuckwit.

In other non-Skidmark news, I had a chance to use the Bridgestone S 21f, S20r around Lyttleton harbour/ diamond harbour/ Gebbies Pass today. This is a shitty, tight poorly surfaced road that is not that fast. Fine for the motard. Really impressed so far. The front gave great confidence as it started to load up and the shallow profile of the tyres meant stability and a very controllable tip in. Quite different to steep profile Mitchelins or metzelers. Bump absorption was good given the heavy carcass and solid sidewalls. I may take a bit of front comp out to further aid this compliance.
The bike held a line really well and was very stable mid corner, although that should be the case on matching new tyres. The softness of the outer compounds was quite noticeable once I got a bit of heat in them, although grip from cold and in the wet seems good (given I am the slowest rider in the world in the wet!)

Am i doing nothing avoid said worn out tyre? because the initial purpose of this thread was to establish which would be the best tyre to fit.

    Katana is long gone.
