Drew is saying its possible to get through corners faster carrying less lean through careful line selection. Big lean does not always translate to big corner speed.

Maybe if I let 5pounds out of my tires mine will go away.
The last 3mm seem to be needing a track day on the back.

Believe it or not that's 3700km so far on those tyres. Im thinking my suspension works well and im running a good pressure in them.
I have traction control set on race. Not sure if it is doing anything during corner exit or not but I do try murder the tyres a bit but im not very good at it I think.

You should be able to slide the back a little with the TC set to race. That should scuff them up nicely!
What is the bike?

Probably because the tyre is gripping so well, it's not sliding or spinning, therefore not wearing as quickly?

Context is the preceding posts about a set of Supercorsa.

Surely not! Lean angle is everything! That's what a lot of road riders seem to think anyways. If someone could show me a way to get less lean angle on any bike but go as fast (or faster) sign me up! Drew may be a cunt but he's knowledgeable cunt.
Haven't ridden on the road properly in a few years but from memory I did roll quite far over on the Rosso II's on my gixxer (fantastic tyre btw). Would be interesting to see how my riding might have changed after a few years strictly track riding.
The fastest cornering lines aren't always the safest, especially apexes. Sometimes the centre line is not where you want to be on RH corners, and you can reduce your vision through the corner if you go too tight on a left corner.
