I'm not really looking for an improvement, S20s did more than I wanted them to do.
I think the advantage will be the S21s last longer. (I hope!)

Yeah because you all obey the letter of the law 100% all the time right?

I think i'd rather pay the extra for a decent tyre than end up with a totalled bike injured/ dead to save 50 bucks.

As Akzle would put it, you have to be caught to pay jew-gold.

Motorrad mag (German, doh) compared sports tyres last year and rated the S20 Evo and M7RR very close. The M7RR wore less, but maybe the S21 has closed the gap now.

You can get a set for about $500 depending on the rear size. Given that they wear better than most other sports tyres, that's not bad value.

Fair enough. I've only seen the M7RR's for $600+, so I'll stick with the S21's.

    Seriously?

It's chicken shit, you're talking a couple of tanks of gas difference.

How long do they last on the KTM?

The M7RR looks to be wearing very nicely on the R1. I've only done about 1,500 km so far, so too early to predict tyre life. Definitely less than 1mm of wear on the rear.

Last S21 rear did 5500km which was about 500km too far. Front, not sure yet but I tend to get good life from fronts. PP3 front lasted 15.5k, so I'd expect at least 11k from the S21.

About what I was getting from the OE Dunlops. Those PP3s have fucking deep tread about the middle though, eh?

Nice fresh S21s on both ends as of this am.

5000ks from S21s would give me a return trip to the burt, a rolling smoky down Dee Street, and a handful of keyboard warrioring, I'll stick to my slippery rear PP3. Hey MrMarko, your rear shinko is only a 4 minute burnout to oblivion. You know you want to, and when done you can match it to your Shiney new front so that what takes you into a corner can drive you out. It's only two spots from going cold turkey for a couple of days.
