    SO YEAH...

Have fitted a radar detector on the bike today.
Took a while actually fitting the cable (hard wired it to my ign wire)
Mainly took a long time taking off the tank etc.

So what do I do the minute i finish!??

I get the plug that goes into the radar jamed in the head stop and crush it!!!!
    GOD DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now i gotta buy a new one and fit it all over again!

    Oh well..
I guess it could be worse..
    maybe...

    can it?

For a man on a very fast bike with an idea of how to use it, I fail to understand how you get these tickets?! What's that two in two months?

Do radar detectors really give you enough warnings these days?
I thought the cop radars were a lot sharper than they used to be.

yes an no, still have to ride with a little smarts, but you can get heaps of warning if someone makes the cop light him up in front of you.

I have one sitting in my draw that i haven't bothered mounting on my new bike.

When we rode down on the bikes to ChCh a couple of months ago, travelling down that big long straight just out of Kaikoura I got lights flashed by a Range Rover.
I thought "yeah, typical 4wd owner (I'm one too!!) telling me my lights are on", but decided to we should slow down from 130km/h to 100km/h. Couple of km's up the road was a cop with a radar hidden just off the road.

    Prior warning beats anything.

(4wd owner must have been a biker too)

cops love those roads around Kaikoura... any fore-warning around there is always much appreciated

    Somthing like that.
I was half asleep i guess.
Tried to get away, but there was a cop behind me and a cop at the set of lights that i was coming up to aswell.
I had no chance and would have been shat on if i tried too hard.
