It'll all come back to you very quickly if you have done a fair bit of riding in the past. I understand the ninja 300 should be pretty learner friendly.

Just an idea, you could ask the dealer to deliver it so you can have a pootle around somewhere familiar before taking it on the motorway or whatever. Not sure if dealers do that these days.

I brought a bike recently, after a break of 3 years without a bike. (KTM 390) It was surprising how all the old skills were still there.
I would tend to say just go and pickup the bike yourself, and keep the revs down in order to keep yourself out of trouble as a precaution.

2 electrical guys quoted me $200 to install the bike alarm whereas it costed me NZ $107/ from Ebay (SPY 5000M LCD motorcycle alarm system two way remote start & proximity sensor), will be also putting in GPS tracker, Chinese stuff with good reviews (better than none)
