Question are you a nodder or a waver

fellow biker coming towards you, do you nod, wave, ignore. I only ask cos I've found myself becoming a compulsive nodder, and recently found myself nodding at a cop bike, nothing strictly wrong with that i suppose, but it felt strange, think he got a shock as well!
Hopefully I won't turn into a waver :spudwave:

I wave unless In halfway through a corner, then I nod.

Prefer to wave, cos its easier to see.
But will nod if my hands need to be on the bars, like a corner. Or the wheelies I want to be able to do one day

    Cool

I wave most times.... but if I find I cant wave due to the situation then I will nod.

I also wave/nod to the police on bikes/cars, the ambo's and firebrigade cos one day we may just need them.

Well if you waver too much or vigorously you may fall off.

If they nod I'll normally nod, or if they wave I'll normally wave...

except in the obvious wheelie/kneeslider type situations already mentioned...

    wuss..
Best time I've seen a wave back for me, was being passed by a couple of the lads in the liter club. On the 22, a tight fast left hander, I was (had been) backing off the pace a little (not that that made much difference) so the guy I was with could catch up (had his missus on the back), and these two guys pass around the outside of me, knee draging on the floor hard, and still had time for a thumbs-up on the way past.. that was pretty cool.. By the time I knocked down a couple of gears to see if I could catch up, they were long gone..

I wave if there's time, or on the motorway, cos a nod gets lost at that pace/distance, and when I'm passing another bike too, else it's a nod

Again nothing wrong with waving, I generally do my waving if I'm wafting on the open road, but in general I like to keep my hands on the bars and go for the big obvious nod instead

Not that it matters (does it?!?), but I used to wave, but now almost exclusively nod. No wait - that's not true. On the highway (and sometime on byways, but not usually), I'll wave, particularly if there's plenty of time and/or I'm not undertaking some tricky manouevre, like adjusting summat, interacting with the pillion, feeding more deuterium crystals into the warp core or whatever.

I have somewhat of a philosphical conundrum though, as sometimes nodding makes me feel cool, suave even, but mostly it makes me feel like a noddy. Waving usually makes me feel somewhat cheery, except when the wavee ingores me, then I feel pissed off, which doesn't happen when I'm cool/suave/nodding.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I'm a 'nodder', for obvious reasons.

Know what you mean, probably why I go for the full on nod - but I suspect I look like one of those demented nodding dogs you used to see on car dash boards
