In a zone of less than a third of the normal posted speed limit area .... you were perhaps expecting to meet traffic going the same (excess) speed as you ???

If you were at the temporary posted limit ... it would have been safer for all ... (even you)

And the self centered prick you are .... thinks you have a right to whinge ...

Still - no one but Cass follows indicated signs, both technically in the wrong, the bike more so.

Done, move along, you'll see worse shit on the road by Monday.
He made no mention of how long the bike was behind him ... in (or before) the road works. Nor any mention that he knew the motorcyclist was there ... until he got overtaken by him.

I must say, good confidence on sport/tourer rider. If the OP is doing 60 in his manly ute and the rider is chucking rocks as he passes on his road attired bike, that's commitment and confidence. Most road bike riders I know dawdle through gravel.

I did see a Kwaka H2 in Paihia recently which was coated in gravel dust. Most impressed I was. Tires weren't chewed up, though...

The motorcycle was behind him - had to be to pass him. He was doing twice the posted limit. Bike passed doing greater ....

If said bike was doing the posted limit of 30 and car doing 60 they would never have meet. And no post on KB.

Two wrongs make a post on KB

Hey - more importantly relating to road works - they have been hacking a piece of my fav road - have a section here a patch there - fucking stupid mess that would fall apart like it did last time. Anyway, I get off work early today - go for a fat on the bike - the whole area has now been dug up and ready for a decent resurface of the entire road (someone high up must have shown some common sense) however it is presently unsealed ... and they had just wet it. What a mess on the Ducati. Still cleaned off tonight and a decent tidy-up tomorrow with some nice craft beers. A good way to end the week.

I sit on the fence, there are times in similar situations where some pull across to the left shoulder and spray you (why ...being discourteous while trying to be courteous?) , so either you pull way back or pass depending on the road conditions.

The case in hand I would have pulled back, for the sake of a few seconds, share the road, not the road surface.

Just for your information, (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) but get caught speeding through road works and the fine for any given over-speed is DOUBLED and so are the demerit points. A friend of mine who was sitting on two lots of demerits lost his licence for doing 7km/hr over the posted speed limit in a road works area. Think about that next time you speed through roadworks and shower shit all over the guys working there.

So speeding is immoral? I thought Akzle was full of shit but you win.

    Heh, now you've done it.

There's probably going be a session on morality, ethics, law, maybe even sin (please no!) and it really just boils down to what Jasonu wrote.
