    First ride in 2 1/2 months :-)

Been driving the car a bit lately, still can't raise my right arm above horizontal at the elbow but thought I'd ride the bike up to the first North Shore Beginners Chat Session at Albany Maccas this morning. No-one else turned up so I had a cuppa and rode across the shore to meet my family at the Chelsea reserve. Nice walk in the fantastic reserve which surrounds the Chelsea Sugar Works. Nice place for a summer picnic (and a nice big carpark down near the sugar works just perfect for slow speed and u-turn practice.

Delighted how easy it is to ride the bike, no big movements that hurt the shoulder like driving the car, and what a thrill to get on the bike again.

Brilliant News that is Steve, come on down to the BP on the Southern Motorway next Thursday at about 6 pm, bunch ( small group about 5-10) of us older types ride off for an hour or so's gentle punting around the countryside then head for a quiet palce for a chin wag a feed and or a beverage.
No pressure, can't get lost, we have a ride leader and a TEc,, make your own way home in the dark is all.
Keep getting out and about, good therapy and good practice.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
