I know what you mean, I've recently realised I can get my full licence in january, which means if I can get a job over summer and save up enough I might be on a new bike before uni starts again next year!
I don't know what bikes might be suitable though.

All I can suggest is bookmark this link and keep checking to see if there's anything suitable...

Cheers for the link erik. I have had a go of a 600 and a 900 CBR so far but both stand a little to tall for me........I did enjoy riding them though

No, no gsxr 600/750s for now... I have heard they "have better handeling but are less forgiving"

I think I will be making a big step up from my 150 anyway

Guys I suggest you get around a few shops and try out the seating positions on different bikes.

Being a giant at 5'6" myself I can assure you that a lot of modern sportsbikes are pretty damn tall. Even the older Bandit 600s are a bit of a stretch.

So far I've found that the R6, older CBR600s (F2/3), and the Hornet were the most ergonomically pleasing.

You could always look at something like the SV650, which gives a good compromise of sportiness, and practicality (sorry I realise that's not an issue).

    Congrats
my advice, and I only recently did this:

Test ride everything that looks like what you want at a bike store. Then test ride a few things that don't look like what you want... Find what you enjoyed best and keep eyes and ears peeled for what you wanted.

Good luck, and although we'll give you some stick for your choices we still love you.

Oh thanks I have been planning on riding lots of bikes. The problem I have at the moment is my rg 150 was actually lowered by the first owner as she was vertically challenged and I am 185cm tall...

Needless to say I get pretty cramped after a few hours riding
    ¿Porque no ?
