    Post HELP ME RESEARCH YOU!

    Hi everyone,

I need your help. I’m a final year student of Product Design & Technology at Northumbria Uni and I’m currently doing some research into what makes minimotos so popular.

If you could answer some of my questions below I’d be really grateful, and hopefully I’ll get some kind of insight into what makes you tick when it comes to your experiences with minimotos.

    1. Your Age?

    2. Are you male or female?

    3. Where did you see your first minimoto?

    4. What attracted you to them?

    5. What mini bike(s) do you own?

    6. Imagine you have decided to buy a new minimoto. What are the top three characteristics you will look for?
(For example: looks, speed, price, availability of spare parts, ability to upgrade etc.)

    7. How does owning a minimoto make you feel?

    8. How do you feel when you are riding your minimoto?

    9. Do you own/or are you interested in the similar products associated with minimotos?
(For example: mini quad bikes, mini dirt bikes, monkey bikes, petrol scooters and skateboards etc.)

    10. Any other comments?

Cheers everyone, I really appreciate your time.

    Nicola

Hi nicola, welcome to the mad house
hope you stick around longer than just a survey! We have KBer's in the UK too (somewhere.. just can't remember where we put them).. Anyway, for what it's worth:

    1) 26
    2) bloke
    3) First saw them on a piece on a TV show. These guys had 1000cc bikes, and had MMs strapped to the back of the bikes. They rode around until they found an empty car park, then raced around until they got chased out, and just moved on. I thought it was cool to have little bikes strapped to the back of big bikes.. That was years and years ago
    4) They just look mental and fun
    5) don't own any - yet
    6) no idea.. not over priced (but not cheap that it breaks) reliability and off-the-shelf parts for it
    7) dunno yet.. I'll let you know when I get it
    8) still don't know. Haven't got it yet
    9) probably. I'm just a kid really..
    10) nope.. Mini Moto in the mail..??

    1. Your Age?
Not going to answer that one.
    2. Are you male or female?
    Female
    3. Where did you see your first minimoto?
Saw a couple of guys riding them by my work.
    4. What attracted you to them?
    Fun factor!
    5. What mini bike(s) do you own?
    My partner has one.
    6. Imagine you have decided to buy a new minimoto. What are the top three characteristics you will look for?
(For example: looks, speed, price, availability of spare parts, ability to upgrade etc.)
Looks, price and ability to thrash all the other minimotos on the track.
    7. How does owning a minimoto make you feel?
    Don't own one yet.
    8. How do you feel when you are riding your minimoto?
Terrific - it's the only bike I've managed to get my knee down on!!!
    9. Do you own/or are you interested in the similar products associated with minimotos?
Partner has mini quad as well. I reckon one of the mini choppers would be a hoot too.
    10. Any other comments?
Do you know where all the missing socks go?

    2: A boy
3: When I was 11, a bike shop in Oamaru had a tiny bike (that ran) on the wall. It wasn't a minimoto per se but that's the first one I remeber.
4: The hilarity of grown men riding kids bikes. It's hard to take yourself seriously on one.
    5: I own a Daytona 2, 49cc aircooled.
6: This one was bought on a price basis, the next will be on performance.
7: Its easy to work on and makes me feel like a real racer.
8: Funny. It's great competition and you don't normally get hurt to bad unless you practice in a full contact enviroment (eh Hayden )
9: I have a miniquad as well, a pit bike would be cool but I think I'd hurt myself.
10: MiniMoto racing is the best fun you can have with your pants on, it's cheap, stress free and you don't need a trailer or van to transport the little buggers. The only downside is all the kids going "Can I have a go mister?"

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    The rabbit or question design?
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
