Bike racing photos from Manfeild/Wanganui/Taupo, etc.

I'm trying to get my study in some order so I'm clearing out some old photos from when I first started covering motorcycle and car racing. The car ones I am giving to a local school to use for projects, but I realised that some of you will have taken part in racing at Manfeild/Wanganui during this time (1997 to 2002) and you may want the photos.

I'm not asking for any money for them (hey, not all shots were great in those early days!), but if any of you thought they were worth anything, you could slip a few bucks to Spank Me to help run this site.

As many of the riders were Auckland-based, I thought perhaps I could send the photos to someone there who could show them around whenever they got together with fellow racers. It would be a nightmare if you all sent me details of your bike number (do you realise how many bikes there are using the same numbers!) and bike colour, gear, etc., but if you had a particularly distinctive bike/leathers then it may work. I took some photos at the BEARS racing at Manfeild too, probably 1998. The other events were the national road racing champs, some Vic Club meetings, super motard at Taupo, cross country nationals in Wellington, a CDMTC track day at Manfeild (2001), Alexander Road (1998), a motocross at QEII Park (Paraparumu - 1997?), and a few other bits and pieces!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Beemer: I'll probably know quite a few of the riders. For those I don't know, I'll more than likely know someone who will know.

I'd be happy to act as "distributor" for you if you wanted.

My suggestion is that we charge a gold coin per photo and donate all to Spank - but over to you on that score.

Sounds good to me, I just hate to dump them all! I'll sort out the rest of the boxes (they're everywhere, they're everywhere) and let you know when I've got them all together. It's likely I'll be heading to Wellington sometime next week so I could drop them off to you.

I'd be more than happy for people to pay Spankme - whether they pay you as they take them and you pay him a lump sum every month or so or they pay him directly is up to you. Some of them were published in Kiwi Rider so it's not like they're taken from 300m away with a Box Brownie!
