I really don't get this no guard trend. You spend hours and a fortune on your custom ride and then F-up the paint and metal with stone chips.

Plus it looks unfinished IMO. Even a tiny short front guard is fine.

I really like that look how the frame just stops and has those nice crafted plugs on the end instead of going into a seat hoop.

I can't see that fitting a load of crap of Alibaba is much of an inprovement.

... and if it's not truly legal to ride, then it's not a motorcycle, it's just art (nice art).

Well, between that one and this one I know which one I'd rather have.

Given your penchant for ex London 80's courier bikes it comes of no surprise.

I'm happy with my stockish Guzzi.

Darn that original 850 Le Mans looks better than I remembered them.

Have MG worked out how to coat bolts and screws properly yet?

I remember test riding around mid-late 90's, I think it was a V11 sport. Beautiful bike with a severe discount as the dealer was running out all Guzis and going solely Harley. I distinctly remember noticing rust on all the handlebar control bolts. On a new bike.

I am quietly quite impressed that Guzzi is still going, there must have been some lean years. They have slotted themself into a cruiser/classic niche presently. I'd really like them to bring out a singular kickarse naked sport oriented ride now the Grisso has been discontinued.

The MGS-01 was gorgeous - why didn't they make a roadie version of that?

Some people loved these, some people hated them.. I think they're great (if you ignore the whole "setting themselves on fire" thing)

900cc triple, undertail exhaust/flame thrower, dry clutch. Shame the project didn't work out

At Levels at the weekend, I regret I didn't have a look around the display tent - too busy running the Kawasaki.
Anyway, I did see a bike being wheeled away late on Sunday and immediately wished I'd got it on camera...

CB500/4...Horrid pipe, bare/bobbed frame, motard wheels, no guards...and a brown seat. Sadly no exhaust wrap...

Contrast that with the KR750 Kawasaki replica that was there almost finished - just short a close ratio box. Exquisite - and beautifully done.

Air cooled - but in the later frame with the late fairing and seat. Mags and the correct brakes too. You've seen Terry Timms work, immaculate.

They looked right to me. I didn't ask him but I believe everything is available from a mob in the US.
