Royal Enfield to Buy Ducati ?

DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Would love to see a 200hp Royal Enfield.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

No they don't. Only very few bikes are made in Coor Blimey Land.

Must admit, I too thought the new HD learner bikes were made in Outsourcia.

Appears to be a lot of speculation presently.

All denied by parties including Ducati of course.

I have often wondered why one of the big Japanese companies don't purchase a company like this on the side.

Sounds odd but if you think of a fairly conservative company like Honda they could experiment on the wild side with a company like Ducati at the more exotic end and if successful introduce it via Honda as globally acceptable sanitized 'Honda' version .....

    Make money both ways.

    Just a thought.

Plus both use red paint a lot!

I can tell you Honda do buy all of the oppositions bike in the target market they are aiming at , then pull em to pieces to find out the strength and weakness

Unfortunately, the management at honda, there are a few good ones let's just say that....

Didn't Aprilia win a bidding war for Guzzi against Ducati? Maybe they will just buy Ducati also and keep it Italian.

The 500 and 750 Harleys are made in India. The exception being that those sold in the USA are made in the USA. India has such high tariffs on imported motorcycles that anyone who seriously wants to sell bikes there builds them there. The little KTMs are built there too.

I only owned one Ducati, and I'm not a brand loyalist, but the thought of them being made in India could cause a tear to fall into my beer.
