Easy, just waited for the hail to stop dropping and melt. I find hail falling onto a helmet for five minutes gives a really good headache and bad hearing for a period. Find cover and wait a few minutes.

Then just cruised along being mighty more careful on corners and areas of differing patch and paint. Got to work easily enough, to find power surges running through the network causing serious issues.
Later that night, managed to luck in only a light shower and low wind, get home hang up wet gear, snuggle to bed, wake up dry gear, start over.

Most of the time it isn't the weather that worries me, just the other road users. I had people passing me in Remuera Tractors doing 70 in a 50 zone.

No decent timber in that tree - only a ricker.
As me grandpappy used to say - only kauri worth milling is one over 300 yrs old!

Had to ride back home from Bucklands on Saturday with the missus on the back and full pack rack (had no choice) wasn't too bad really. managed to avoid all but 3 brief showers (stopped at talisman in katikati for a couple to let a couple of heavy ones pass).
I don't mind the wind too much, makes the straights a bit more interesting. at one stage doing 120-130 along a straight with the wind behind us i lifted my visor as the air felt almost still, more like we were doing about 50k.

Any day on the bike's a good day.
