    Oh Baby Oh Baby!

As some of you know i took out a 1999 R6 on Saturday. All i can say is wow. Would have to be the most fun i've had in a long time (probably on par with hanggliding!)

    The Verdict:
First thing that became obvious was the amount of power available - compared to my ZXR there was HEAPS!!! Quick twist of the wrist and i was soon doing 180kmh The amount of acceleration really put me in my place, felt like i was getting my ass kicked.

Slowed it down and took it show tristan - he liked it!

Then proceeded down the motorway and got off at drury before heading down 22 past pukekohe and out to the mercer road on the other side of 22.
Managed an accidental (im serious) power wheelie which came up to about 30-40degrees. I wasnt thinking properly and tapped it like i do on the ZXR and it just came straight up.

Back to the legal stuff... i found the bike really comfortable and easy to ride and was easily riding at around the same speed i do on the zxr throught the sub 100kmh corners. It really felt like i was at home on it, i was oozing confidence and feeling like i could have easily dialled in another 60kmh and put my knee down if i had leathers on.

Fireflight met me at mercer and checked the bike over, he thinks its a good buy and if you saw it too you would probably say the same.

Just gotta sort out the finance deal and then it should be mine. Dad still isnt giving me 100% support but it sounds like he will back me anyway - heres hoping!

It would probably make me feel like I was getting my arse kicked as well. Should be a nice bike for you.

I'm pleased you love your new bike. But I feel sorry for your donkey.

But it has some fantastic one-of-a-kind decals fitted to it

Good luck Gareth on the R6, can't wait to see it sometime.

It has been confirmed that i will be the next KBer to join the great league of 600cc and more specifically YZF-R6 riders

scored me a bargain, should be picking it up this weekend sometime - will post some pics when i do.

been buzzing out since yesterday but now i is

The bank decided to back me this time even tho im earning less than half what i was when i applied for a loan to buy a mint condition ZX-7R for $8500... its now listed at $10,495 at Mt Eden M/C.

The R6 is setting me back $5000 + ($3000 from the sale of my ZXR) which i think is a mint deal considering 1) the condition its in, 2)the modifications done to it, and 3) the fact that the same bike but stock standard is in the shops for around 11k+

got it insured for around $88 a month... excess is $500 theft, $1500 my fault.

I gotta say i do feel a bit spesh being an 18yr old with this kinda power, tis gonna take a good bit of maturity to make sure i dont start being a twat with it. All my friends are about as green as they can get which is all adding to the buzz
