For shorter rides into town I wear Draggin jeans - protection against those oops we can encounter yet able to be worn as casual attire. I have a GIVI Maxi 3 55 L top box and it takes my helmet and my jacket, I wear work boots because my feet are wide and motorcycle boots all seem to be made for little mincy Italian feet, but give them a good polishing and no-one ever notices.

But then, I don't frequent K Rd. If you're going up there you may as well keep your leathers on
There are two songs, "Stairway to Heaven" and "Highway to Hell" which I think give an indication of expected traffic flow

Ditto with the chaining of the helmet (although I use the biggest u-lock I could find after a padlock got cut and I lost a helmet in the Countdown carpark).

Leathers...get a bigger top box. My leather jacket and leather/textile pants fit in my 48 litre Shad top box. Although...someone has tried to get into that before as well with a screwdriver or something but it was empty at the time (sucked in).

Boots...I wear 'work boots' if I'm going out, got to compromise sometimes (bit better than shoes on the bike but more comfortable than boots off the bike).
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.

Have done a search for luggage lockers in the CBD, there may be some on the platform level of Britomart but I can't find any elsewhere. Plus Britomart would be closed after about mid-night.

Depending on where you're going, could you take your helmet with you and put your boots in the topbox and chain your gear to the bike? Would also suggest looking at the Civic car park rather than Wilson's as Civic has free parking for bikes whereas does Wilson's do free bike parking?

Look at the AT site for info on Civic hours etc.

In my experience living on Pitt St right next to K Rd for 3 years (no, I wasn't a homeless bum) I'd never leave anything on the street. Weekend party-goers throw up and piss everywhere, homeless sleep anywhere and steals everything they can. I've had three jackets stolen, one time inside carport hanging out to dry under daylight sun.

Do you have street style bike jacket? Draggin jeans maybe? Just wear your gears to where you go. Not to mention walking into club with a bike jacket makes you look buff af.

You still haven't answered our question. Where are you going?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

All great suggestions, time for a bigger top box and find some bags to fit my newly acquired Wingrack2 brackets, or just change my taste in Saturday night entertainment.

I'd just borrow a car for the night. At least then you can take the bodies back to the Tron to dispose of them properly.

ha ha, the friend I'm staying with has a Land Rover Defender and a VW Golf.
The Land Rover will probably break down and I'll likely be arrested for driving a Golf with fraudulent emissions of some sort.

Seriously though, I hadn't even considered that option. Worth a shot and much more fun than trailering my bike to Auck so that I can ride in the afternoon and take my car in the evening.
