Wandle Downs - private race track

Never heard of it ? Neither had I. Heading south from Kaikoura today we took the inland route to Waiau home, great road ( not bad ) and it's been perfect weather today. About 12km north from Waiau I noticed what I thought was a sealed landing strip on the right. Very odd and in the middle of absolutely nowhere . No-one lives there.

Didn't make sense until a black Ferrari 458 howled past, turned and accelerated the other way and back up the track backfiring and howling as it changed through the gears for the next corner, he would have been doing well over 280 . We turned around and watched it for a couple of minutes, maybe a bit longer then.

About half an hour. Evidently it's a 3 km track that he's built while designing a car for the track..google it.

My other half took the vid on her phone but, still working on how to get it translated to here. Will do when I can..

Evidently, the Guys name is David Dicker, a billionaire from Australia.

What a sound on the downshifts, Music.

    Far out....

Great, and you turned the camera 90 degrees - makes for a much better picture. I get so sick of seeing skinny portrait clips on TV when people send one in about something really important. I suppose if you are rich you have to do something with your money, and a track for your Ferrari seems like a good start.
