Unusual bike photos from a small town auto museum ... and quiz for you.

Mrs Oakie and I went camping a few weeks ago in Geraldine, South Canterbury and happened across an automotive museum. Heavy on the farm machinery but also ranged from vintage cars to a range of cars some of our members would have owned back in the day. Also bikes and even an aeroplane.

    1) So who knew NZ used to make scooters: http://www.nzeta.com
    2) Motorcycle hearse
    3) Some bikes
    4) QUIZ - What NZ bike personality has a connection to this four wheeled 'gypsy caravan'?
    5) The Harley section
    6) A push bike with shaft drive

Well worth the $15 entrance fee.

it's not a hearse, it's a utility sidecar which were plentiful in the day with a coffin in it, i have one on my 1918 henderson, it has folding tailgate at both ends, was used as a plumbers vehicle for years, folding down both ends mean't it could carry a length of guttering etc

It was pretty quick along Dominion Rd for a while until I traded up to a RV90. But then maybe that was lack of queues of buses, road maggot lanes and wall-to-wall Priuses back in those days.

Yes - ridden one ... better than a KTM Pony .. but still not great.
