    Batterys as Dangerous Goods

My bike has been picked up from Tauranga along with spare seat, panniers etc.

The driver wouldn't take the spare battery. It's dangerous goods. Not his fault. I ain't grumpy at him.

How the hell do I get a battery down to Rangiora?

The acid is the problem. Drain it and refill when you get there. Unless it's sealed of course, then I don't know. AGM batts are ok because the acid doesn't fall out, so maybe standard sealed batts are the same?

Depends on the battery type and Un number. They can be air freighted but not on a passenger aircraft.

It's not so much the "Dangerous Goods" that is the issue ... it is the requirement of having a "Dangerous Goods" class license to carry it. Most courier drivers (even the small van types) have to have their DG license.

In a couple of weeks you can have it delivered to your place of work. There are several Tauranga based racers coming to the GP.
Ask nicely, offer refeshments as appropriate over the period of the GP meeting....

I will be in Wanganui for Boxing day, several Tauranga people will be racing there, as I live a block away from you it can be just about delivered to your door

PM Nodrog, organise for him to get it to me at Wangas

Keeping my 1200RT. Just bought an F800ST. I've had two previously. Each time I've regretted moving on.

The BMW thing has proven to be hard to shake.

I think Dan is sorting a Tauranga racer to bring it down to Ruapuna

It's lunchtime. I'm having a Sawmill Pale Ale at Nandos of all places . Treat for season I figured. But I'd gladly relinquish the last 1/2 to pour it over anyone who called it a beersie. Give yourself a swift upper cut.
Don't you look at my accountant.
