How was your ride in this morning?

I had an awesome ride in today.
The weather here in Wellington was spot on...
I managed to hit that sweet spot in traffic flows, the lull inbetween traffic wave at about 7.50 on the gorge...
Picked up a couple of riders so it was cool lane splitting in unison...
Got a decent park at the Grey St bike park...
    Coffee from Arabica taste's beaut...
    Life is good!
Anyone else have a better ride in than normal?

I always have a gorgeous ride.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Nope - had a sh*t ride in today - ON THE BUS!! Just waiting to get my slug back from fixing. Still it's a sunny day, the birds are singing, almost the weekend....
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Yep it's always good when you get that gap in the Gorge traffic. I head out toward Petone so it's usually a sweet ride.

The only thing wrong this morning was that I hadn't put one of my ear plugs in properly, so things were a bit noisier than normal.

I didn't ride in. I walked. If I had of ridden, I wouldn't have made it to work, the long way round, via Kasikstan..

My ride to work is generally uneventful. Takes me only 12 minutes and I don't usually exceed 50kmph!

The ride home on the other hand can be quite exhilarating. If it's fine I will usually take the long way home which is an extra 40-80kms depending on which State Highway I choose to take.

I had a great ride too. Traffic did seem very light in Wellington this morning.

Went for a bit of a detour around the back of Wadestown.

    Sweet.

My ride was pretty much like yours mate.

Nice to arrive at work with a grin on your face.

My morning may have been even a little better than yours: There was a Fidel's coffee sitting on my desk when I arrived.

I bought the XJR in today and was a menace. Was a bit of a zinger on a zoomer. Be thankfull I only bring it in once a week. Copped green on all the stoplights (11) though so no complaints about the ride in.

I went to work a little later this morn and hit traffic heading out to petone. bit annoying as I was trying to beat my flatmate (yota echo) who left 10mins before me. dry roads though. looking forward to tonight...if its dry.

I had a great ride in...Mrs S is home sick today to it was on my own. I was happily splitting through traffic, noticed a police bike on the side of the road, but it was too late to merge back into the traffic so just carried on with the splitting, gave him a nod as I went past, he nodded back and I carried on my merry way.

Dropped the bike off at the shop to get the clutch sorted, so hopefully that'll be ready to pick up tonight.

I also had a great ride in today. The NZ was humming away and traffic was light at 8.45am.
    (I'm a local government worker so I can start late !!! )

However, it is supposed to rain later today, so the ride home may not be so enjoyable.......
