At this time of year, if you haven't got water in your tank you'd be very lucky. And water does nasty things to float levels and stuff. Drain the carbs like the man says, then put some pure meths in the tank. It'll suck up the water and let it go through. Thereafter put fuel conditioner in every time you fill (I use Fuel Set from Sailors Corner).

Pure meths? As opposed to Meths & Coke on the rocks?

How does this differ from the meths you buy in the super? Oh yeah, it has that purple poison stuff in it. Apparently the winos strain it through a loaf of bread to remove that, then mix it with something as even winos can’t drink it straight.

So there you go kids, some practical advice on how to buy & drink meths & how to remove the poison. ‘Course you will still go blind as Methyl alcohol will do that to you.

I’d still want to clean those filters out as chances are there is some rust in there.
Don't you look at my accountant.
